03 For institutions

For the students you're already trying to reach.

neoQuad is the discovery layer between campus resources and the students who need them. We are now officially partnered with Santa Barbara City College as our founding institution, one of the most equity-driven community colleges in the country, to demonstrate measurable lift in event attendance, club engagement, and first-year persistence.

i. Visibility

Resource Visibility

Every official event, club, and resource -- surfaced to every student, the moment they open the app. No follow-the-account requirement. No inbox blindness. Push tech that comes to them.

ii. Access

Equitable Access

The students who skip events because they have no one to go with are the same students who lack inherited campus networks. neoQuad lowers the cost of attending alone -- and the literature is clear that the lift is largest for first-generation, commuter, and underrepresented students.

iii. Telemetry

Engagement Telemetry

Aggregate-only, k-anonymity-bounded engagement data. See what students are actually using -- without surveilling any individual student. Institutional intelligence without institutional overreach.

A compliance posture you can take to the IT director.

Zero data sales.

We will never sell, rent, or trade student data to any third party. Ever.

Zero location tracking.

Location is not used in the app, not asked for, and is never stored.

Zero integration burden.

No SIS, LMS, or ERP connections required. We integrate with nothing.

Institutional data sovereignty.

Your campus retains full ownership of every event you publish.

FERPA-aligned.

Architecture does not access, store, or request any FERPA-protected records.

COPPA-compliant.

Age-gated 4+ App Store distribution.

AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit.

Server-side Firestore Security Rules enforce school-scoped isolation by design.

Four data points.

That's all we collect from a student: email, display name, optional year/major/photo, RSVPs.

04 Why this matters

Inequitable attrition has a quiet cause.

0%
of SBCC students are first-generation
Source — SBCC Student Equity Plan
0%
of community-college dropouts are first-generation or low-income
Source — CCCO Student Success Metrics
0%
of students have skipped events because they didn't have anyone to go with
Source — neoQuad Primary Research, n = 58

Belonging is the strongest non-academic predictor of persistence. The students lost don't drop out at orientation. They drop out one skipped event at a time.

05 The team

Two engineers. Both former community college students.

neoQuad is built by people who lived the problem.

Jacob Sola
Co-founder & CEO

Jacob is an engineer at RTX (Raytheon), where he applies rigorous data science to aerospace defense. A graduate of UC Riverside and College of the Canyons, he started neoQuad to build the discovery layer he wished had existed when he was a community college student.

Ervin Young
Co-founder & CPO

Ervin is an engineer at Tesla, where he brings Silicon Valley product rigor to neoQuad's platform. He attended Las Positas College and Virginia Tech -- a non-traditional path that informs every product decision the company makes.
